American Airlines has made some major changes to its first- and business-class in-flight service on international flights. The changes are in effect on flights operating on Boeing 777-200ER, 767-300ER, and 757-200 aircraft flying to Europe, Asia, and long-haul to Latin America. ?Flights aboard the airline?s new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will also offer the upgraded meals and amenities when these aircraft go into service at the end of this month.
Some of the most noticeable changes are in the amenity kits. First-class passengers will receive an amenity kit filled with Dermalogica skin care products.? It also doubles as a tablet computer case.? Passengers traveling in business class, get a more traditionally-shaped amenity kit stocked with Akhassa skin care products.
Once aloft, first- and business-class passengers will be offered new menu selections.? First-class meals start with an amuse bouche, and there will be more variety in the menus including a soup course, a customizable pasta entr?e, a greater selection of breads, and new sundaes.? The look and feel of the service has been entirely redesigned, as meal?will be served on more modern china, along with textured placemats, napkin rings, accent water glasses, and new silverware and linens.? First-class passengers will also be offered a choice of mimosas, an in-flight wine tasting, new closed-toe slippers, and a second pillow, in addition to the pajamas and turndown service that American already offers.
Business class passengers will also receive a variety of new entrees, a custom-made sundae from American?s dessert cart, and closed-toe slippers as well.
In addition, beginning January 31, first- and business-class passengers on the airline?s new 777-300ERs will be able to choose from a selection of sandwiches, snacks, and assorted sweets from a walk-up bar, which will be open between first and last meals.
